How to Use the NuNet Mailing List Server

Step 5 - Managing Subscribers

To access the subscriber configuration click the Subscription link at the top of the page.

Subscribing

There are two methods for subscribing members to your list:

  • Single Address - enter the entire E-mail address and press the Subscribe button

  • Multiple Addresses - you are able to import a text (.txt) list of subscribers by browsing to the file on your hard drive and then pressing the Subscribe button. The text file can be created in notepad or any text editor and simply needs to be a one column list consisting of your subscribers' E-mail addresses

If you have a large number of subscribers, you can use the Filter box to search for a specific E-mail address or group of E-mail addresses.

You may choose one method, or the other, or combine both depending upon your needs.

Feedback - Opting In and Confirming Addresses

If you want subscribers to be notified that they have been added to your list and have the option to opt in or out, set the Feedback field to "confirm." This procedure is not only a courtesy, but also allows you to validate email addresses.

The rest of the fields default to the correct parameters.

Click the on the subscriber page for further help.

Unsubscribing

To unsubscribe customers place a check mark in the check box and click the Unsubscribe button.

NOTE:  The E-mail address you unsubscribe will NOT appear to be removed from the list immediately, but it will designate the E-mail address with an unsub notation. This will be updated automatically at a set interval by the mail server.

If you send out your mailing list, any address with an unsub status will not receive your mail. If you are unsure if you removed the address search for it again and confirm the unsub status.

The rest of the fields default to the correct parameters. Click the on the subscriber page for further help.
